Greeting readers.
I am going to ask you two questions. The answer to them *has* to be instantaneous.
Question 1: What is your goal in life?
Question 2: What are you doing to achieve it?
I am pretty sure that 95 % of the readers won’t have the answer to it.
You’ll die one day, without achieving anything worthwhile or leaving behind a legacy. Most people are concerned with what series to watch next rather than what project to pick next. If the Almighty granted humans an additional 100 years, we would even waste those 100 years.
The root cause of this problem is no driving force i.e., no purpose. Majority of the people will do what the average people does – School-> College -> Job- > Retirement-> Death.
You need to have a purpose beyond this. The purpose is an indispensable part of the human species. Do not confuse your purpose with materialistic stuff like buying a swanky car, flashy clothes. A purpose is something that takes time to fulfil- write a book, establish a business, be a bodybuilder, play the piano, be financially independent etc.
A lot of efforts go into that purpose. And most importantly it should be something that you desperately want to achieve. Not something you picked up from the movies or what society has planted in your head. The purpose should align with your potential. You can’t be a singer when you have a harsh voice.
*There is nothing more sinful than wasted potential.* Leverage your strengths. A purpose strong enough to pull you out of bed with excitement. Ignite that fire in you. Without that, you won’t go far in life.
If you are confused or don’t know what your purpose is? You need to go with Trial and Error. Try different things and you will know what you are set to do. It is only through doing that you’ll get to know yourself. Start investing in yourself.
He who has a why to live will survive anyhow.
Fredrich Nietzsche Now that you have a purpose, it won’t fulfil its own. You need to ceaselessly put incredulous amounts of work into it. This is the hardest part. Rome was not built in a day, nor will your goal be achieved in a day. Consistency is key. You will get bored at a point in time, but that’s normal. Eventually, everybody gets bored of doing the same things. You just need to be serious about it.
This is the only way to live your life to the fullest.
Do not be a fool and post your goals on social media or discuss it with your friends . You are alone in this. Your mission is best left to you. Society will only judge you and bombard you with opinions/ suggestions to what they have no prior experience in. Act rationally.
Never take advice from someone, who you can’t charge a penalty if it doesn’t work.
Solitude should be your ally.
Sheep graze on validation.
Wolf hunts alone.
If you constantly resort to inspirational stories or motivational videos, you are not serious about it. That is why the fire needs to burn inside. No amount of inspiring stories, motivational videos will leave an everlasting impact. All they do is pump you up with motivation that goes through the roof for a couple of days and then it’s got back crashing to the ground. It’s just the human brain that likes them.
Motivation is for the weak. A man who has his eyes solely on his goals does not need motivation, nor does he succumb to distractions .
A life without a purpose is like an empty vessel. You need to fill it up with water(goals).
