With the rise of modernization, there have also risen false things. We are living in an artificial world. People are lacking real purpose. They are delighted with things that don’t even matter in real life and let their potential go down the drain.
Earlier, people had to go the hard ways to achieve something. But now, all of that is available to us in the artificial form that we fail to go after the real stuff. We are dancing to the tunes of the cheap dopamine.
An individual, right from when he/she wakes up, till he falls off to sleep is surrounded full of things that degrade our life.
Let’s start with the basic one- Your body. Many people consume all sorts of artificial food and neglect health. Processed food has no nutritional value. Those 2-minute noodles, soft-drinks are slow poison. They do satisfy you at that moment but in the long-term, they make you look ugly and fat, degrading your body. Don’t fall for the nonsense that being fat is ok. It is not.
Obesity is on the rise. Testosterone is declining. Here is an eye-opener for you- You have half the testosterone your grandfather had. Yes, credit to our lifestyle and artificial food.
You should not gamble with your health.
Health will pay you a lifetime. Get in the gym, put on some muscle and enjoy your life to the best.
Television– Don’t even get started on this one. Whenever a group of friends gathers around, the pivot point of the conversation revolves around a movie, series, or sports.
People, on average, spend around 3 hours watching TV every day. Above that, you try and emulate what you see. You imitate what’s not real. Yet the only ones benefiting from this are the showbiz people. Put use of that time into something worthwhile.
Porn– For starters, porn isn’t real sex. Watching other people have sex on the screen will get you no partner and rot your brain. Many people watch it for relaxation, which is so wrong. Porn ruins your relationships.
It steals your chances to go out and get acquaintances with the other sex. You have no motivation left to go out and meet other people if you are consistently fapping to porn. It also lowers your testosterone.
Video games– Video games aren’t real life. People are seeking adventures in video games rather than in real life. They have forgotten that there is a life beyond your gaming console. Virtual games provide the player with artificial achievement. An individual spends hours in pursuit of that feeling of accomplishment in the game. That is why they are so addictive.
But they often forget, unlike video games, they don’t get chances again in real life.
Social Media– Social media isn’t social. People will go to any extent to look cool on it. Your personal life is in shambles, yet you will portray yourself as an achiever. Mindless scrolling is another big waste. You can’t concentrate on a task without fidgeting with your phone. Your attention span is falling. Here is a thing, if you are not making money from it, you should not be on it. Don’t let social media control you.
The Internet is probably the greatest invention of history, yet, the majority of the users use it for entertainment and stuff. Everything you consume shapes up your mentality.
Don’t let the artificial world devour you. Make your way out of it.
